Bending Radius (pipeline and process piping)
Pipeline provides key NDT pipeline inspection functionalities, including the automatic detection of maximum depth and size—difficult to find with traditional measuring methods. Once the surface is digitalized, pipeline computes the pipeline's diameter, curvature, and circumference for automatic defect detection and measurement.
Pigs are expensive instruments that can get caught in curved, deformed pipelines. When this situation occurs, the only way to recover the pig is to cut the pipeline inside the pipe.
The Monitoring module allows to validate the bending radius of the pipeline before the pig inspection and ensure that the pig can go through the pipeline, avoiding unnecessary downtimes and costly operations in case of an accident.
